Instinct

“The best captain does not plunge headlong nor is the best soldier a fellow hot to fight.
The greatest victor wins without a battle.”  Lao Tzu

Your opponent will beat himself by falling into tricks, traps, and shots.
A good example is the compound stroke.

“I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong
nor yet favor to men of skill but time and chance happeneth to them all.”  Ecc. 9:11

In three move tournaments the luck of the draw is time and chance.
Time is in our favor because when we are where we belong our genius appears.
Chance is just what it says. We are taking a chance on the card we draw
whether we know the game or not.  It is important to know games,
the more games you know the better chances you have.

Checkers is inherited so use your instinct, as Andy Griffith would say,
“It’s not so much that you go by the book but use your good old common sense.”
After all some things the books don’t teach… Instinct is one.

“Knowledge is important, but the game of checkers is fundamentally a test
of what you can see, rather than what you can remember”… Dr. Marion F. Tinsley

“Imagination is better that Knowledge.” Albert Einstein

It is better to use your imagination and visualize than just use your memory.
Let’s use our God given ability…  Our Instinct
